Documentation specifics
Uzbek customs work in both Uzbek and Russian. Iran–Uzbekistan operates under a bilateral trade agreement with preferential tariff schedules — always cite the agreement number on origin certificates. TIR carnets are accepted but Uzbek customs often conduct physical inspections regardless.
One thing most newcomers get wrong
Most newcomers miss the Uzbek requirement for a Notarised Translation of the Certificate of Origin. Rejection rates are high at Sarakhs when this is absent.
