Industries
The industries that drive Iran corridor trade.
We work across the commodity categories that account for most of the cross-border volume in our corridors. Each comes with its own documentation, classification, and compliance specifics — and we've built the workflows around them.
01
Agricultural products & food
Active corridors: Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Iraq
Iran exports
- —Pistachios
- —Saffron
- —Dates and dried fruit
- —Fresh produce
- —Raisins
Iran imports
- —Wheat and grain
- —Animal feed
- —Vegetable oils
- —Rice
Compliance & documentation notes
Phytosanitary certificates required for all plant products. Halal certification required for most food imports into Iran. Country-of-origin documentation is actively verified — mismatches cause rejection.
02
Petrochemicals & polymers
Active corridors: Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Turkey
Iran exports
- —Polyethylene (PE)
- —Polypropylene (PP)
- —Urea and fertilisers
- —Methanol
- —Bitumen
Compliance & documentation notes
End-use declarations required for all petrochemical shipments. Some polymer grades and some customer profiles are subject to enhanced screening — we review every transaction for restricted end-uses before accepting the work.
03
Construction materials
Active corridors: Iraq, Afghanistan, Central Asia
Iran exports
- —Ceramic tiles
- —Cement
- —Steel rebar and sections
- —Float glass
- —Natural stone
Compliance & documentation notes
High volumes, weight-sensitive logistics. Standard documentary requirements. Steel requires mill certificates. High-volume flows to Iraq and Afghanistan are subject to enhanced KYC for construction end-use confirmation.
04
Textiles & apparel
Active corridors: Turkey, Central Asia
Iran exports
- —Carpets and rugs (with specific origin certification requirements)
- —Industrial textiles
- —Handwoven goods
Iran imports
- —Raw cotton
- —Finished apparel
- —Synthetic fibres
Compliance & documentation notes
Iranian carpets require a specific Certificate of Iranian Origin from ICCIMA. Misclassification between 'handwoven' and 'machine-made' categories causes significant duty differences and customs challenges.
05
Machinery & industrial equipment
Active corridors: All corridors (bilateral flows)
Iran imports
- —Industrial machinery
- —Agricultural equipment
- —Processing equipment
Compliance & documentation notes
Compliance-sensitive — a significant proportion of machinery HS codes overlap with dual-use export control lists. Every machinery shipment goes through our dual-use screening process before we quote. Technical specifications and end-use statements are required as standard.
06
Consumer goods & household products
Active corridors: Turkey, Iraq, UAE re-export
Iran exports
- —Housewares and kitchenware
- —Hand-crafted goods
- —Cosmetics (non-restricted)
Iran imports
- —Appliances (non-restricted categories)
- —Packaged goods
- —Household products
Compliance & documentation notes
ISIRI standards compliance required for many consumer goods categories imported into Iran. Electronics imports require technical conformity certificates. We do not facilitate imports of items on restricted categories — we screen every shipment.
